Yin and Meditation

Join me for yin yoga. Sessions are held on at Sal Y Sol in Pescadero.

What is Yin Yoga & Meditation???

A human spends so much time in the outside world when there is an entire world and relationship waiting to be discovered and tended to within your own being. When you go inward, you can tap into an infinite well of wisdom that has always been there. Yin is a doorway and opportunity for you to stop the distractions, be still and feel truly connected to yourself.

Yin Yoga has 3 Core Principles:

1) Finding Your Edge – we are looking for sensation but not discomfort or pain

2) Stillness – commit to relative stillness of the mind and body. This is the precious time to let go of control, observe your thoughts without judgement, be with what is and create greater capacity for all your experience.

3) Time – we hold each posture for 3-5 minutes, really letting gravity help us sink into our bodies, allowing enough time for the natural contraction of larger muscles and getting into the connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and fascia.

Yin Yoga is for anyone looking to:

- Increase your overall flexibility.

- Improve circulation.

- Enhance the range of motion of your joints and ligaments.

- Connect with your breath.

- Improve emotional balance.

- Reduce symptoms of stress, depression, anxiety, and sleep disturbances.
